Mr. & Mrs. Edwards

I'm a mom ... I'm a daughter. And I don't understand how Mrs. Edwards can leave her two children, six and eight, to hit the campaign trail with hubby when she is living what most likely are her last days. She referred to her children as 'baby birds.' Isn't momma supposed to nurture? Hubby says they need to learn to be on their own. At six and eight???? I'm certainly no expert, but I have to wonder if these children will grow to be very angry young adults that have to face the fact that this precious time with mom was sacrificed to the political god of the campaign for the presidency of the USA.

Whatever pity I might have felt is overshadowed by incredulity.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

I think the period from February 15 to March 25 is the darkest time of the year. It's a time to just endure until the weather begins to soften. Not even thinking is interesting or entertaining.
